Im 17, and going bald. what can i do? hair transplants?!

Question: i think i started going bald when i was like 15, which i really young. i have a weird V shaped hairline and back of head looks like its thinning. My family has pretty good hair genes. like my grandfather is 80 and still has a full head of hair. thats why im concerned. I wouldn't care going bald if i was like 30 or something, but its hard in high school and sometimes people point it out. do girls care alot about bald spots? what can i do? i was lookin at hair transplants but they are mad expensive and i am poor!

Seventeen is young to go bald, but not unheard-of. If you think it's a health issue, it might be good to go to your doctor. Otherwise, it's just you, and there's not a lot you can do about that. I knew a guy who was bald by 19, and he ended up happily married with four kids :-)

I'm a lot older than you (age 53), so I've seen my share of bald guys. I think I can safely tell you that we ladies don't care in the least if a man is bald, as long as he's a good MAN. Men are a lot more concerned with physical appearance than women are, in my experience. If anything, you'll look older than your years, and at your age, that's a plus, so getting dates may be EASIER :-)

Good luck!

accept it. then shave it all off or at least cut it very short.

Somewhere in your family, early male baldness exists & that's a given. Do you wear a ball cap a lot? If so, stop wearing one. The band inside, rubs on your head & will cause you to lose your hair. To create an illusion that you don't have baldness, keep your hair a little longer than normal. A layered cut will also make it seem as though your hair is thicker also. If you wear your hair with a part, get rid of it & comb it all back after getting it layered. Again, it'll give the illusion that you have thicker hair. If girls don't care for guys with thinning hair, they can move on. There are those gals, who could care less about the outside & care only what's on the inside.
