Is it okay to take prevacid and protonix together (read details)?!
Question: I have been on prevacid for about a year now. i take 30mg a day for my acid reflux, but i am running out of prevacid and can't see my doc before i go away on vacation. I have some protonix samples (found them in my house), and i know they are very similar to prevacid. So what I am asking is do you think it is okay to take protonix for a couple of days until i can get more prevacid? I won't take them together. But has anyone done this or know anyone who has done this? Any bad reactions?

That should be fine. They are both Proton Pump Inhibitors. Call your doctor for a refill. Prevacid also has a refund program that covers the copays, so you basically get it for free. Check their site.
