Can I smoke while taking Robitussin?!
Question: I am currently taking Robitussin for a very heavy cold, the only downside is that I am a very addicted smoker and am wondering if there would be any life-threatening side effects to smoking while taking Robitussin? (I already know what smoking does to the lungs...so I don't need sacrastic answers).

Nothings happened to me and I smoke and am taking cold/cough medicines (Nyquil, robetusin, and delsum) for the last week or so.
My Mom has done it for years.

If you want to get over your very heavy cold, just don't smoke. Smoking only prolongs it. I was a smoker for 15 years and no matter what, I didn't smoke while sick. I tried when I was younger but realized that it just wasn't worth it. The desire to be well far outweighed the cravings.
No side effects of combining the two.

I've done it on high doses of Robitussin.
It didn't cause any problems.
But if you don't smoke when you're sick, you'll get better faster.
I gave up smoking real fast when I landed in the hospital not being able to breath, told The damage was permanent , How Dumb , I took the chance and I lost. For the first year I was physically addicted , Sleeping and headache problems I was surprised , The Dr.s Didn't treat me for that No patches, mentally I had no problem with not smoking. As it turned out it wasn't the smoking that landed me in the hospital , It was because I had been breathing toxic cleaning chemicals. I recovered 100% and I don't miss it. at all. I was lucky!!!
