Why is my body clock like this?!

Question: Ok i always have the HARDEST time waking up in the morning no matter how many hours of sleep I had. And throughout the day I'm extremly sleepy. But right at 10:30pm something happens and I get a whole bunch of energy and I'm not sleepy, and then I end up staying up all the way till the AM hours, therefore making it really hard to get up in the morning.
I don't drink a lot of cafeine/coffee so that can't be it. Anyone know why?

MY SISTER!! Finally! Someone else that is naturally nocturnal!!

Well, I read an article off of LiveScience.com a while back that says it is a gene that we inherited from our family that makes our body clock BACKWARDS.

It is REALLY hard to fight...

The best time in my life was when I lived in Arizona and worked the second shift so I was able to be awake all night and sleep all day...

It is just your body clock... Go to http://www.livescience.com and look through the helth archives and you will prob find the article I'm talking about...

I had this problem but i didn't get the energy but my doctor said it was because i didn't exercise enough, if you exercise during that time it is the endorphins kicking in, all you have to do is start doing a morning wake-up exercise and you will feel better, you may be cursing me now but I'll tell you it works.

Stress

OMG me too, me too! that's why I love doing my homework at night time, it's the only time I can really concentrate and be bothered doing it... I've alwaaays been like this, I have no idea why, buuut, I think one way to kind of fix is it routine - if you go to sleep at about the same time every night and wake up at exactly the same time everyday, your body will naturally adjust to this and waking up and going to sleep will become a lot easier. for example, if you go to sleep at 10 every night and wake up at 7 every single morning, after about your month or so you will probably start waking up at around 7 every day naturally, without an alarm. routines can be annoying but it's good for your body.
