Is this normal? (I know "normal" is a relative term).....?!

Question: I think I am too fearful. I treat everyday like possible my last.

I keep my house alarm on 24-7 even during the day at home
Sleep with a gun
Walk to my car with my mase open and finger on the button
If I answer the door for anyone i have one finger on the 911 button of my key pad alarm.
If i encounter a strange person or car i text myself the license plate or description if i go missing...

Nothing happened to me as a child and I am not an uphappy person just always on my toes

What is you take on this? How much is too much?

I mean this seriously and don't mean it in a bad way...

YOU NEED THERAPY!

What you describe sounds remarkably like Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.

PLEASE, look around for some help for this... It sounds like your actions are holding you back from having a "Normal" life...

And that is NOT normal...

Pl

ware do you live in the getto. I think you need to trust in
God

you need to just take a vacation. not a normal one. go to some where else and just wander for a week. when you come back you'll feel better.

why do you worry so much? do you live in the hood?

If you have to ask, you know this is not normal. How many of your friends and family act like this? Do you live in a dangerous neighborhood?
Give up the gun, put away the cell phone. Caution is good but you have gone over the edge.
Keep the alarm and the mace, though, they are good ones.

That would be abnormal in my neighborhood. I'm no proffessional but i think you need to ease up a little. anti-anxiety pills could do the trick.

consult a psychiatrist.
