There is research that has shown there is a correlation between schizophrenia and marijuana use, but it cannot rule out that those suffering from schizophrenia are more likely to use marijuana as a form of self medication or that those being studied were not already suffering from schizophrenic tendencies prior to marijuana uses.
The studies have NOT proved that marijuana causes schizophrenia.

it just depends on who you are, if you already have a chemical imbalance in your brain (like regular depression) marijuana can increase that, and that could be the same case in schizo.
my uncle got schizophrenia from doing drugs, then died.
but he did all the big ones like LSD and other hallucinogens
but yeah, i wouldnt overload unless you know your family history/your health as of right now
