Sleeping troubles?!

Question: Hi all,

I don't have problems falling asleep, but I do have problems staying asleep. I generally wake up every 1.5 to 2 hours all night long. Does anyone have any ideas of how to stay asleep? I'm trying to avoid prescription sleeping medications. Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks.

are you using the restroom before you go to bed? if you have to go to the restroom and your body detects it when you fall asleep, then your body will not fall into a deep sleep and you will wake up shortly afterwards. perhaps you are not exhausting your body enough throughout the day. is there something on your mind that you feel you need to get things done before you can relax? this will force your body awake also. i recommend lots of daily activities, reading before you go to sleep. eating healthy. and just relaxing before bed time. going to bed with nothing on your mind but a full nights sleep. hope this helps.

I am a worrier, andI have the same problem. The best solution I've found so far is to tell myself, it is OK to worry, but I must save the worrying for the next day. I promise myself that I will think about the problems the next day, and then I am able to rest , knowing that the problems will be handled in the morning, and the nighttime can be reserved for my sleeping. This always helps.

I have the exact same problem. One thing I've noticed that helps me is to turn the thermostat down a few degrees less than what it normally is. I don't know why, but it has helped a LITTLE. I also bought a bed linen spray and there's a pillow spray as well (lavendar, helps you relax) that seems comforting. Good luck and sweet dreams!

Try this:
Flip your mattress over to the other side.
Buy a NEW mattress.
Put ear-plugs in your ears.
Put a blindfold on - those pesky cars driving by your place at night might be waking you with their lights through the curtains, or even through plastic blinds.
Go to your doctor and have them conduct a sleep study - you may have sleep apnea (where you stop breathing at night) which would wake you up.

This SHOULD take care of it.

If you STILL can't get a good night's sleep, write me privately and we'll work on it some more.

go to bed at home then u don't have to worry about the wife or husband catching u in his or her bed
