Question: My girlfriend is visting the me in the UK from sweden and while she is here she will need some stitches removed.
Do I have to do anything to ensure she recieves free medical care to remove the stitches while she is here?

sweden is part of the eu so all she needs is a european health insurance card. which you can get for free
In Ireland there is a form called the E111 that you can bring with you to other countries, there is probably an equivalent in Sweden available. She should contact the health board in Sweden to find out more.
your local nurse at your gps can deal with this for you - contact them now and see what forms if any you have to have filled in.
