I've gotten a few migraines like this myself. My arms and hands lost feeling and my sight got distorted (it was like when you look at the sun and then try to focus your eyes on something). I also had trouble speaking (I couldn't get the right words out; I sounded confused). I went to the doctor, got scanned, and everything came out alright. There was really nothing the doctors could do. Motrin helped with the pain and they usually went away after about an hour. You could be making yourself feel the numbness and headache by worrying too much. As long as the tests show nothing, there's really no need to worry =)

Your "question" is too long. So whatever. 2 points for me!!

idk but ur relly cute did that work

you may have some sort of condition, but everything is going to turn out fine because your tests came out normal.

dont worry. you are young and changes are happening to your body. just relax and it will go away with time.

omg the same thing here. i had to take tylonol and advil

I don't know what to tell you...
but I hope you get better...
and the numbness goes away...

i've had that b4...i was really stressed and nervous and everything just went numb....take 2 advils(extra strenght) in the morning day and night....or you can also take green tea. hope that helps...it helped me

I am diagnosed with migraines as well. I have never gotten a numbness though. Just bad enough headaches so the point I vomit. I think that you should listen to the doctors and what they say. Tell them that you are worried and ask if there is any way that they can look deeper into the situation. Or maybe there is another way to test for something wrong.
No medicine has ever worked to get rid of my migraines, I tried Excedrin and it goes away for the most part. Try that if you already have not for your migraine. Good luck!

I'm only guessing here but maybe you had a small stroke or something. To me it sounds like something may have happened in the brain to do with a blood vessel or clot.

I wouldn't worry about it. Probably come right after a while.

You're still breathing, that's the main thing.

I am a migrain sufferer and have been since I was 10 years old. However, I have never had the numbness you describe from a migrain, but I have from anxiety - and I have several health issues, I have Lupus. You may very well be experiencing anxiety. To play it safe you should see a neurologist for further tests. If all checks out OK then return to your doctor and discuss the chances of some of this being anxiety. For tonight, avoid caffeine, have a cup of tea and relax. Good Luck !

Maybe its your diet. What type of foods are triggering your migraines?

Go for a walk. (daylight)

Go out side for some fresh air.

Go for a small drive with the window slightly open

Stay away from caffeine

Yes, Casey, getting your first migraine can be scary. If you suffer from ADD, most likely you will become extremely paranoid when having a first-time painful symptom. You will feel out of air, short of breath, hot, sweat, nervous. What you went through can also have been a panic attack, an anxiety attack, stress, tension headache, cluster headache.

Good you went to the doctor and it's found to be migraines.

If a stroke/hemorrage is what you're concerned about, then I would not worry too much.. Those symptoms you describe are those of a pre-stroke. Then a stroke comes on days later.

But it seems you only have migraines. My mom has had migraines for three years now. At times she cannot even talk, because she hyperventilates. It's all due to stress. She needs to exercise more often, avoid caffeine, and cool off.

As with your case, just forget about it and stop worrying. I've gotten these too, nasty headaches and facial stabbings. Just watch a funny clip or drink water. It can be scary. Think positive. Maybe something is causing these headaches. Drama?

Accupressure.....ancient asian remedy......you can buy bracelets(at CVS) for motion sickness that press a spot on your wrist that stops headaches like a charm. My mother taught me this for my miagraines and it works great.
