Why do people bruise after a massage session?!

Question: If you notice a bruise after your massage treatment, what should you do and why? Is this a normal reaction or can it be prevented? Do you think another massage therapist would do the same? Please give your feedback and your experiences please.

bruises are always possible but should fade away accordingly... if you don't want the bruises, tell your therapist not to work on that area so deep or so hard... you need to communicate w/ your therapist to get the desired results...

I've had a massage and i didn't bruise, maybe they were pressing too hard. you can tell them to lighten up, or maybe you just bruise easy.

Uh, I never have and I bruise easily. I wouldn't go back.

Well it's dehydration , your blood vessels constrict from not being properly hydrated. Drink more water and might I suggest rubbing a brush handle over it this will help spread the blood out of your first layer of skin.

I bruise very easy , and I also get massages. I ALWAYS let them know how I want the pressure done on the certain areas they work on.

In this case the person has to communicate with the therapist and tell them if the pressure is too firm or if its a very sensitive area , please work on another part of the body.
