Stoned and High?!

Question: What is the difference between being stoned and being high?

Answers: What is the difference between being stoned and being high?

Stoned is used specifically for cannabis intoxication.

High is intoxication on any substance for recreational purposes, except alcohol, that's drunk.

Stoned does not only mean slow and mellow. Heroin use makes you slow and mellow but no one says they are stoned on heroin because you will sound like an idiot.

When talking about cannabis specifically, I sometimes differentiate being high on weed and stoned on weed. The coming up period when you laugh at everything to the point when you can't move I refer to as being high. When you plateau and find it exausting to move I refer to as stoned. You will never be stoned on any substance other than cannabis. Stoned was only supposed to refer to cannabis, nothing else.

if you're talking about drug use, they're the same thing.

youre talking cannabis.

THC is made first in cannabis plants, smoking a younger plant will make you high.. dizzy.. elevated. when the plant is older, the cannabinols develop, oils that when smoked make you feel heavy and sleepy and like a stone.. put simply, this is exactly what it means.

when talking about drugs being stoned and being high are the same thing but are used in different occasions though stoned tends to be used more after you got high or used by like surfer dudes

Well, one starts with an s and the other with an h.
Stoned has 6 letters and high is a 4 letter word.
=)
Drugs and Alcohol related ... they mean you are wasted!

Hope that helps.

high, I think you go around with a good feeling in you. Like you just won $5,000.00 dollars. Grinning.

Stoned. Slow moving, slow reaction time. Really mellowed out.
