How long after stopping antibiotics can I drink alcohol again?!

Question: I stopped taking antibiotics on monday (Avelox for a bad cold/flu thing..) and theres a drinking party on Saturday... would I be able to drink then?

I have been on a lot of different antibiotics, and I have always been told by doctors not to drink, but the truth is all it does is you get drunk a lot faster, and in my own experience that just saves me money on booze in the end :)
