Carpal Tunnel Syndrome?!

Question: What are the symptoms from this?
I have been getting a throbbing pain in my right wrist just below my palm recently. It comes and goes and is not too painful at the moment. Are they any other symptoms I should be looking out for?

I have CTS. symptoms include numbness in my hands and pins and needles when you wake up in the morning in your hands. There is also a weakness in your thumb and forefinger when you put them together, i had a op 10yrs ago but it has come back, i wouldn't have the op again:( Hope this helps. it is caused by a muscle going across your carpel tunnel just past your wrist on your palm and if its too tight it puts pressure on your hands.

numbness in fingers
coldness in hands

I have had the operation for Carpul Tunnel. There is a few symptoms, pins and needles type, aching arm, wrist etc.
If I could look at your hand, its quite easy to diagnose, one of my doctors told me to put my thumb to the middle finger, and if you have a lot of creases between your thumb and your wrist, its likely you have Carpul Tunnel. You can have a simple electrod type test, it test your nerve endings. If you look at my 360 page, there is a picture of my hand following the operation. It does not look nice, but healed up really quickly and its just a small scar from my wrist half way up my palm. There is one thing I would mention, your grip kinda goes following the operation. I have not got as much strength in my hand now. Go to the doctors and get a diagnosis, the operation takes about 15 minutes from start to finish.

Numbness in the fingers, droping things, a pain going up your arm. i had the op in Sept and im glad i did. it used to wake me up in the night it was that painful. 6 months and i havent even had pins and needles in my hand.

Sounds like the start of it ? you may want to get a wrist strap which helps a lot but go to Dr & get it checked...Cheers & Good Luck

Numb spots in your hand or digits. Pain in the forearm that kind of rotates. Clicking in your wrist or hand. If you crack your knuckles, pull them out one by one -- not the fist cracking.

If you find that you have to shake your hand in order to feel it, then you need to get a brace for your wrist that allows you to type, mouse, etc. but keeps the wrist in the straight line position.

My mom had surgery hers had gotten so bad -- she could not stop the pain and it kept her awake. If you eventually do have surgery, check out several doctors.

Take care, you
