Why can't I roll my tongue?!
Question: My 2 sisters and 1 of my brothers can roll their tongues into a little tube - my husband can too.
Why can't me and my other brother? What am I lacking?

It is in your genes. You cannot learn to do it. I guess it was not passed on to you and your older brother. I am just wondering, can both of your parents roll their tongues?

Your not lacking anything rolling your toungue is actually a gene. You either have it or you don't, having it is dominant while not having it is recessive.
Your lacking the gene that allows you to be able to do that.
Believe it or not rolling your tongue is genetic.
Being able to is dominant and not being able to is recessive.
its genetics proven fact. if u can't roll ur tongue than why try ur husband can right! :)
Some people are genetically predisposed to rolling their tongues, some don't. Don't let this trivial matter disturb you. So what if they can? It's not exactly life-threatening, nor can you make money out of it so just chill.
