Different view from glasses than contacts?!

Question: I have been wearing glasses for a while and got contacts a short time ago. I noticed that when I put my glasses on I look different than when I have my contacts in. They both give me 20/20 vision but when I see myself through glasses I look weirder. However I look fine with the contacts in looking at myself. Is this because of the distortion when looking through the lense or what? Just curious.

My whole face appears different, not just my eyes.

When I graduated high school long ago, my parents gave me contact lenses. It turned out that my eyelids were very tight and the lenses would not center over the pupil, giving me specular (star like) rays around lights. Another doctor worked to reduce the size and make them work. After a while, I told him to stop, at least in part because I did not like the way I looked without glasses - sort of like a line backer wanting to be an accountant. I looked smarter with glasses on and have worn them since.

you can just see things much clearer
