Yucky Vegetables?!


Question: i really feel stupid and immature about hating almost EVERY kind of vegetables...i really need to get to eat them..i just cant help hating vegetables...im worried about my health.
when i was in lifeskills class in my school, everybody was like eating veggies and im the only one who doesnt eat them...
i felt really really embarrased that i told my teacher to go to bathroom and stayed there for long time...
i can eat like anything else than veggies but im worried cuz i kno vegetables are really important for ur body..but i really hate them and they tatse really bad...
i do take vitamins and stuff.
but i want to be able to eat all veggies! i kno i can...but they just taste terrible and bad. i could eat corns and potatoes and brocolli but thats pretty much it for vegetables i can eat...
it smells terrible too....
y do i hate vegetables so bad? how would i be able to get to like them?
pllz dont say to grow up and just eat it or stuff like that..

You need plenty of vegetables for good health as they contain antioxidants and enzymes.

Perhaps you could try drinking a large tin of V8 every day. It is a blend of 8 vegetable juices including tomato, carrot, beetroot, spinach, lettuce, watercress and a couple of others.

Besides that, eating a lot of fruit would help as fruit also contains antioxidants and enzymes but you do really need vegetables as well.

Mix up foods you like with the vegetables.

I think that there is nothing wrong not liking vegetables... And to like them maybe cook them a different way or try putting some dressings on them..

Yeah some veggies can be yucky. But broccoli can taste really good with melted cheese. You can try putting different condiments on your vegetables some people like peanut butter on their celery, I like cream cheese. Do you like mashed potatoes? Instead of making them with regular potatoes make them with sweet potatoes or make sweet potatoe French fries. You can try making a taco and putting some shredded lettuce and other veges on it. Try pumpkin, carrot, or zucchini muffins. Add vegetables to your sandwiches, pastas, and pizzas. Maybe force yourself to try a certain amount of vegetables a week, if you meet your goal, give yourself a reward. Just keep experimenting and try to find the ways you like to eat veggies.

Try preparing them different ways;
Raw with salad dressing
steamed with lemon pepper & spices etc.
eat them with ribs (Smother them in the bbq sauce)
Baked with cheese (like stuffed zuccini)
Hide them by mixing them into mashed potatoes n gravy
ever try a cobb salad? its more meat than veggies!
