I would guess a side effect of the antibiotics or an over growth of something from antibiotics killing off the resident bacteria of your mouth and allowing new microbes to take up residence. Colloidal silver would help for the latter.
Maybe it is stripe throat rather than strep throat-check this out, "usual brown streaks"
