If i do the 30 hour famine with my church...?!
Question: ok your allowed to have juice and water but you get sposners and fast for 30 hours to support starving kids. this may sound REALLY stupid but... can i have cough drop during it? i have a cold and need them to clear out my nose. its tomorrow i need to know ASAP!!! thannkkks.

I did it last year, and i had a super bad cough. They let me bring in my ventalin and my halls!
The main point about this famine is that they want people in first-world countries to understand what it's like to not be able to eat for 30 hours. Some would argue that they don't get special medication when they are sick and therefore if you want to know what it's like, then you shouldn't take any meds either.
But realistically, we have access to this. Take your meds. Have a good time.
That's my opinion. I think it's great you're taking part in this! You'll have a great time!

Yeah, go ahead. Nobody will blame you for wimping out. I did a ten mile walk once and it had a few refreshment tables along the way. I thought about those who had to walk miles just to fill a jug with water and skipped them. A famine has no juice and water. A famine doesn't last only 30 hours.
