How Do I Break Myself Of The Habit Of?!


Question: cracking my knuckles every five minutes. I can also crack every joint in my body plus my sternum. My knees are constantly popping. How do I break the habit.

Try not to do this for at least 3 days...for some reason after the 3rd day, any habit is easier to break after 72 hours...good luck, I do this alot myself...

Nothing wrong with it. It's just nitrogen build up. Won't hurt.

i do that most of the times too... but i guess the best way to break the habit is to have something to work on.... be busy

Wow thats pretty gross. If you keep doing that you are going to get MAJOR arthritis and other joint problems when you get older. Maybe try to keep that in mind.

Try to see a doctor cos I understand that it doesn't feel 'right' if you don't crack ur joints as you are so used to it.

This may be your way of relieving some tension. It is a squishy ball that may be filled with tiny beads or sand. It is small enough to carry around with you and could save you lots of wear and tear on your joints. Being a recovering addict I have had my share of breaking a lot of bad habits. So first you need to tell everyone, so they can hold you responsible. Second you need to find another habit that is good for ya! So it might take a while I'm sure it took a while for you to learn it so be patient and tell EVERYBODY U KNOW! gl

Cobsider this: You can stretch or even tear the ligaments in your joints by cracking them. You can also dislocate fingers, toes, knees, etc., by cracking them. The old wives' tale about getting arthritis after cracking your knuckles for a long time is pretty much unproven but constant cracking can leave you with swollen knuckles, SERIOUSLY ugly hands, and weaker hands and fingers as you get older. Nice, huh?

My sternum cracks too! feels weird does't it! And my knees sound like maraccas when I kneel down. It means you're gonna die when you get old!

Stick a bit of Ten Benson on your ipod and see if you can crackle along in time. Bardot Style!
