White noise machine?!
Question: i live in an apartmentment building and it is soooooooo loud here. i cant sleep at night. i just moved here a few months ago and am not ready to move again. i was wondering if a white noise machine would work? please help. thanks.

It might. But if you have them already, you may want to try a fan or humidifier for the sound. Even soft classical music might do the trick. I'm a city rat who moved to the country and all those country noises gave me the jitters. ( Is that a squirrel on the roof or a mass murderer?...). The noise of the fan was just enough to block out the sounds of mother nature. In the winter I use the humidifer. Good luck. Now get to bed!
im not sure what that is, but if it drowns out the sound, than i would say yeah. tried earplugs yet??
A white noise machine would act like the air conditioner does. There are small round ones that are used in psychotherapy offices so that the sound won't travel. They have hi & low levels.

A white noise machine might help. Or have you tried turning a radio on softly? Short of banging on the walls or the floor or ceiling, there's not much more you can do. Noise is part and parcel of an apartment building. If they are partying too loudly, you might complain to the manager, but it probably won't do much good. Move your baby into your room so you can hear him, and play some music softly. If that doesn't work, try ear plugs. Moms have a built-in baby alarm, so you'll still be able to hear your baby when he wakes up crying.
