Pneumonia or what ?!

Question: Early last week I thought I had the flu but by last weekend (really bad wet cough, stuffy nose and body ache/weakness) I was in really bad shape and my Dr. was away so I went to the Emergency Room. They took an EKG, Blood test (finger prick only) listened to my breathing/chest and my blood pressure. The Dr. said she thinks it's Pneumonia so she gave me a medicine called Doxycyclin (I'd never heard of it before)...
Anyways...I have been on the medicine for 4 days now and with no improvement :(
The side-effects from this medication worries me as I am NEVER hungry and it's quite hard to look at TV (due to light sensitivity) and feeling like I'm gonna vomit + a bad taste in my mouth.

So my questions are...Should I go back to the Dr./hosp and tell them the medication is not working or should I wait?
Has anyone ever taken this medication before and if so what experiences have you had?

Kind regards,
Bethany

Pneumonia is generally caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae.
Doxycyclin is an anti-biotic for killing bateria but not that effective to Streptococcus pneumoniae and can cause allergy to digestive system and is not good for female hormones.
All chemicals are not good for human body because they are much more toxic than natural ingredients by approx 10-10,000 times.
Your main problem is you do not have a strong immune system and can catch cold, flu etc easier than average of your age. I suspect you have week lymph system.

Always go back to your doc first to report all symptoms and tell him/her you very really really bad. Do not wait. Your doc actually also need your imput/feedback etc in order to help you more. However, your doc can not prescribe natural foods/herbs to you. It is your choice. To be honest, there is no medicine today in the world wihtout side effect but to have a better immune system. The effectiveness of synthetic medicine is below 2% aginst virus and is very low against some super bacteria as well.

If situation is not improved in next 48 hours, you can contact me again, and, I will try to help you with proper nutrition. For your information, essential oils are the remedies that plants use to fight microbes (such as garlic, lavender, sandalwood...). EFAs from plants can help build up your hormone systems and enhance your lymphatic system.

stop taking this med now your having an allegric reation and go to drs asap

Stop taking the medicine and go back to the doctor and explain how you are feeling when you take the meds.

It sounds like you have walking pneumonia but, I don't know why they gave you Doxycyclin, you should've gotten Amoxycyclin....When I had it I felt the same exact way I only saw a little improvement.... I did throwup once and if you feel really lighthead and dizzy (even after taking your meds) you should go back to your doctor and get your prescription changed....
Good luck and get well soon!
