What could i do nest?!

Question: just a quick question.
I am a RN and work nights in a care home. Most of the carers have told me that they are finding the work loads almost unworkable now. (many of our residents are more heavier to nurse and demanding/dependant) The carers are struggling to keep up with all the work and chores. I tried to speak to the manager about this as I have seen them struggling to cope and she just said "tough". I'm concerned as at least 3 out of 5 carers are applyiong to work elsewhere which would mean agency carers working at the home. The manager does not seem concerned. But I am as we could be potentially without night carers.

relax, no one has left yet, if they do what's wrong with nigth time agency staff?
if that is not what you wanted to hear, who is higher than the manager? if you think the manager is not doing her job, ie taking care of the patients you could go higher than her and report her.
who this would be I don't know, is the home run by a trust? or is it private? or government?
You sound like a good, caring person so I would trust your judgement and try and go over her head with your concerns.
you shouldn't take on anyone's workload.

I would apply at the hospitals.

I know a retired RN who worked at nursing homes, and she said they are always under staffed!

I'm exhausted just reading that. Talk to the manager again saying that you are really struggling and if they don't hire some more carers you are going to leave.
