LIKE YOU DONE SOMETHING GOOOOOOD

Its different with everyone, some people feel lightheaded, some feel nothing, some feel dizziness, mostly minor irritations that go away rather quickly. Personally , it never bothered me in any way. The worst part was the needle stick but that you only feel for a second.

d prick through which they take blood pains a little, and depending on ur own health,u might feel a little dizzy after u have donated blood..but thats only a momentary condition..lasting for 5-10 minutes..
guess d thot of saving sme1z lyf wid ur own blood jus belittles this much..isint it?

I've donated many times and its no big deal, except for the fact that donating should make you feel good because you are doing something that could save a life. In actuality, they lay you on a table, they place a wooden rod in your hand that they ask you to squeeze periodically to encourage the blood flow. They place a tourniquet around your upper arm, right above your elbow, they clean your arm , right by the crook of your elbow with alcohol or betadine. You will then feel a momentary sting as they insert the needle, sometimes you don't feel anything. They then ask you to squeeze your hand every once in a while while the blood flows into a bag they attache to the tubing. It takes about 10-15min. they then remove the needle and help you sit up. You might feel a little dizzy when you first sit up, just sit there until the feeling goes away. They will then escort you to a table where they will give you juice and a snack. You should then drink plenty of fluids the rest of the day. It is one of the simplest thing you can do to help your man kind and it takes only 30 min of your time. Next time take a buddy with you if your nervous.
