Well, a midget is someone who has dwarfism, which I think is a birth defect. Being short isn't like, midget. If your body is all proportioned, you should have nothing to worry about except being called "Shorty".

At 6'5", I am one of the tallest midgets in the world.
You have to be 4'11'' inorder to not be considered a midget.
4'9 is considered a midget anything taller your not

Midgets are allot shorter than 4'9. They are around 3 ft (give or take). A good person to talk to would be a geneticist. Ask your doctor to refer you. They can examine you and answer your questions about your height.
The maximum height is 4' 10" to be considered a midget. They now use dwarfism to refer to both dwarfs & midgets, both proportional & disproportionate persons. The new term is Little People.
The terms dwarf & midget are older terms that had a perjorative connotation.
I don't think of someone your height to be a "midget". My grandmother was 4'9".
