Question: Ibuprofen or tylenol? No I am not out to kill myself incase you were wondering. A long time ago someone who Im not friends with anymore tried to kill themselves with overdosing and took the wrong ones and got nothing but stomach ulcers and somehow today i got on a story about that. And now I am curious which one does it and which one doesnt work.

A large overdose of acetaminophen can lead to liver failure and death in a few days.
Ibuprofen you have a better chance of recovery from a overdose, unlike with acetaminophen.
Both require prompt medical attention.
Almost too much of anything will kill you

I think the right dose of both can kill you.
Well, if your friend had stomach ulcers, then it was probably ibuprofen because that med will cause stomach bleeding. However, tylenol will not really kill you either. Taking too much could cause liver damage, though.

Tylenol is fatal when mixed with alcohol. Overdosing on it is fatal.

Tylenol (acetaminophen) will eventually harm the liver.
Ibuprofen will eventually harm the kidneys, bladder.
Either way, overdosing on drugs can lead one to be comatose, not dead. It's a low quality of life when comatose.
Tylenol is much more dangerous than ibuprophen, I know it is because I learned that in clinical chemistry when we were doing a unit on drug toxicity.
I heard that tylenol causes damage to the liver. I don't understand why they keep selling that junk. If I buy tylenol cause it's on my pharmacy's shelf, and my child comes down with liver damage, am I responsible and would that make me a bad awful mom..can I get sued by a family member or my child? Can I sue the company for selling it? You know why you should put a fence around a swimming pool for child safety, what about us adults who are tempted by the product on the shelves. The tylenol company tempting us with it or is my pharmacy responsible for selling it? Whose at fault here?

I don't think ibuprofen is highly dangerous because it's been my painkiller of choice for years.
I don't know what tylenol is lol. Is it like a sleeping pill?
