What doctor's do NOT do surgery?!

Question: I have looked into being a doctor. I either want to be a Corporate Attorney or some kind of doctor. I like Neurology. Do Neurologists do surgery? I USED TO see one that I really liked and stopped seeing him when I was around 8, and I am almost 17 now, but I did a project on Epilepsy in Middle School and my teacher absolutely loved it and I loved doing research and putting together the essay's and stuff, it was extremely interesting. So my question is: Do Neurologists do surgery? Do that do a lot of desk work and whatnot. I am VERY good at helping people, finding clues, and doing research, If any of this helps at all....What do you think?

Neurologists NEVER do surgery. We don't even let them know where the OR's are, much less let them in!

NEUROSURGEONS do surgery. There is some overlap in what they treat, but neurology is a branch of medicine and neurosurgery is a branch of surgery.

Neurologists diagnose and treat with medications. Neurosurgeons diagnose, treat with medications sometimes, and with surgery a lot of the time. If you have epilepsy, you see a neurologist. If you have a brain tumor, you see a neurosurgeon.

Im sorry, if you are good at doing research, then im pretty sure youd be able to find out that Neurologists main job is surgeory. Yes they do. They also do alot of paper work, so it is a mix of both. However, statistically most patients a neurologist is probally going to come in contact with, probally wont have a very long prognosis.

Neurology is a medical speciality dealing with disorders of the nervous system. Specifically, it deals with the diagnosis and treatment of all categories of disease involving the central, peripheral, and autonomic nervous systems, including their coverings, blood vessels, and all effector tissue, such as muscle. So, I think they do.
