My sister had hers out and was back to work about a week and a half after the surgery. She says she feels great..had a scope surgery though. Talk to your doctor and ask how long you might have to wait. Everyones case differs so its best to get the information concerning your situation and not someone elses.
I had my appenidx out when i was 11. I was really sore for about a month. After that it tapered off. I would say no exercise for 2-3 months to insure your insides are all healed up.
I had my appendix out when I was eight, they exploded and that was two weeks in hospital and another four weeks in hospital after that when I got an absus in my stomach and I went back to school a few days after coming out and within 8 weeks i was playing around again, but I hope you didn't get it that bad and you should be able to excersise in less time than that, especially if you're careful about it!
