Should i keep my cat or give it away?!
Question: i have lymph nodes on my neck. the bigger one was taken out 2 weeks ago so. the doctor had no idea what cause me having all those lymph nodes so they have to take out one as a sample and bring it to the lab to examine it.
i finally got the result 3 days ago. the result is - the reason i have those lymph nodes is because toxoplasmosis. it is a parasitic disease caused by the protozoan toxoplasma gondii. one source said - the parasite infect most warm-blooded animals, including humans but the primary host is CAT.
the doctor advised me to get rid of the cat, by simply saying - give it away. but i love cat. i love having cat as one of my family. i have a dog too.
is there any way i can do to keep my cat? by giving it a vaccine injection, will it help?

That would be a really tough choice. I would never want to give away my cat. Maybe you could ask your doctor if there is any medication that will not prevent a reaction to your cat. If not, I honestly do not know what to do. You are in a tough situation. If you will not die from having the cat around I would keep it, but if there is a chance you will die from having the cat around I would find a good home. You could even give it to a family member so that you can still see it. I hope that helps, and that you will stay safe and get well. Good Luck!!
SHOOT IT!
Wow...thats a hard choice, but you health should be your 1st priority. Can you give you cat to a loved one, like a parent or brother/sister, friend?? Then you can see it all the time. Or give it to a loving family. Sorry, but your main concern needs to be you.
