I take Benadryl and 1 Tylenol and try to sleep as much as you can. Hope you feel better!
Look for Zycam at your Walgreens/CVS. I took the dissolving tablet kind. At night, I would put Vick's on my chest... it tends to clear up my nose pretty good so I can breathe. As for your throat, there's many medicines that "cool" your throat to make it feel better.
I think mucinex works well. it's a little expensive but worth it
From a past experience, I learned that Zycam is one of the best on the market, however, they also tell you to use it when you feel the onset of a cold coming on. I used the chewable tablets.
peppermint oil will relieve any congestion... But I would probably call you doctor and see what he/she suggests. I often find that a simple over the counter cold/flu helps. Thera flu is helpfull too- you drink it like a tea- so its also relaxing and good for your throat.
