Ran out of one medication?!

Question: I take 100 mg of Zoloft and 50 mg of Lamictal. And was told that even though I was covered to the end of the month on my insurance. They stopped my prescription coverage on the 16th. I ran out of zoloft friday night. I have to wait till monday at the earliest to see about getting more Zoloft. I have no idea how all this could affect me in the next few days.

Your insurance should cover your prescriptions 30 days at a time. Have you been taking Zoloft as prescribed or more? Check with your pharmacy as soon as possible tomorrow. Also call your doctor and tell them what happened. I have taken Zoloft for years and 100mg is a high dosage. Typically, when a doctor is taking someone off this drug, they lower the mg over a period of time. You may notice moodiness or depression. The doctor may start you out at a lower dose and go back up to 100mg.
