Answers: The gauze u get at local pharmacies. Does it harden a bit?

It gets hard when removing a dressing that has dried slightly and also has other liquid from clear fluids from the wound. It may get rough and shrink if it was clean, dry and water was left to dry before use. This is if the gauze is woven cotton. If it has artificial padding or a floss in it, I would not know.
The pure cotton gauze without padding are the best of wounds. If they stick, put water on them to release them. Cotton or fiber floss can get into the healing wound and cut the new tissue growth. They also can cause more problems than not. These are sometimes used as padding to absorb drainage and are placed on a layer of all Cotton woven ones. They are usually known as sponges. Pure cotton allows wounds to breath. They are used often in wound debreidment as well as after grafts.

yes it does and I dont recomend using it... only because it makes it uncomfortable on your wound.
