It depends on the drug they are hooked on.

They will be angry, sleepy, sweaty, vomit, and have very random mood swings.

shaking and sweating are the most common but it also depends on what drug

Everyone reacts differently and each drug has a different reaction with people but commonly, vomiting, shaking, sometimes rapid heart beat, sweating, up/down mood swings, pale/grey sickly looking, headaches, they can appear very weak, just wanting to sleep etc. It's all fairly common, the worst of it is only the first couple days.

You should watch the first 4 episodes of celebrity rehab with dr drew on vh1. once you see how bad it is you won't soon forget.

tachycardia
profuse sweating
vomiting
sometimes vomiting blood (esp alcohol WD)
dizzy
heart rate different sitting down and different standing up
confused speech

drug withdrawal. being very irritable unable to sleep loss of appetite nervousness.

tremors, sweating, fever, anxiety, diarrhea, and sometimes seizures.

Depends on what drug you are talking about..
Example...Heroin addicts, will shiver, have the runs, throw up and many other things and you can die from going cold turkey without help. The system is too shocked.
Alcoholics get the same symptoms too

Milder drugs often are just mental depression..
