Sleeping with a PC?!

Question: Will I have a bad nights sleep when I sleep with the computer left on in my room? Does the noise (about the same as an xbox 360) have a detrimental effect on my ears by not giving them any time to rest?

Hello,

(ANS) As far as my knowledge goes there is definitely No! known bad effect on a person's (people) health from sleeping in a room with a computer switched on and running.

**The only difficulty you may have is that of not being able to sleep with the background noise the computers electronics & fans make. The background noise can be more decibels than you think.

**The very worst effect you might experience if you sleep in a room with a computer overnight is slight Tinitis or ringing in the ears, or possibly a headache at worst. I wouldn't really recommend it to be honest with you if you can avoid it. Its best to turn the machine off if you have a choice, if you don't have a choice you might not sleep so well :-((

Kind regards Ivan

I wouldn't think so. People sleep with the TV on all the time and I usually sleep with a fan on, my ears are perfectly fine.

Many people sleep very well to the sound of white noise. They find it relaxing and even necessary if they have tinnitus (ringing in the ears).

i dont know with you... why don't you try it...

i slept fine.... with even music on!

Turn it off and find out !!
