Cold/virus with neck pain?!

Question: Past few days have had a slight cold/sore throat - nothing that bad - however I've also had neck pain along with it. It is really uncomfortable. Are there lymph nodes in the back of the neck? Don't think it's the way I've been sleeping - but I'm not sure.
I know I should probably see a doctor but I have 2 young kids and my husband's work schedule makes it hard to get there. Thank you!!

Yes, you have lymph nodes in the back of your neck. Go to WebMD and look it up! It's one of my favorite sites along with allrecipes.com! LOL! Whenever you have an infection ANYWHERE in your body, your lymph nodes swell. Usually closest to the infection. So the throat/sinus thing makes sense!! But viral meningitis also has that symptom as does West Nile Virus. I would sacrifice and go to the DR. You can't take care of everyone else if you're not well yourself. Your kids need you!

Muscle pain is a very common ailment with colds and flus. It is probably what is bothering you. Go see your doctor for some possible muscle relaxers and/or antibiotics. You may have two young children, but your health affects their's. I am sure your husband is more than willing to watch the kids for an hour on his lunch break or something while you get a quick check up at the doctor's office.

NEVER scrimp on your health.

(No, your lymph nodes are at the sides of your lower jaw.)

the first responder is right,...go to webmd.com

i bet it tells you it's flu!
