Is it possible to be alergic to coffee?!

Question: For some reason when i drink a mocha, or a franppaccino, i get sick in the stomach, pretty much the same symptoms you get when your lactose intolerant. But when i drink regular milk, or chocolate or whatever.. i feel fine .. could it be the coffee?

It's probably not allergic reaction but yes that would be caused by the coffee.

You said you get sick in the stomach, what caffeine does to our body is increase some of our body functions. They are you alertness, blood pressure, increase gastric action to your stomach and many more.

So when your stomach goes on hyper active you feel it that way, have yo have the same reaction when you drink colas? Like lot of it, because coffee is purer that colas.

You don't have lactose intolerance because milk is a form of lactose.

Hope that helps

yes

Yes! my friend was its the caffeine in it. She got circular bumps all over her body it looked kinda wierd I remember...

it could be a ingrediant in the coffee, for example i cant drink tea or coffee becuase it makes me ill and i get serve headaches but i knot its not the tea or coffee thats making me ill but the caffine in it.

so what im saying is that their might be something in it thats making you ill.

Yes it is. You might be allergic to Coffee, or maybe the caffeine (or something else) in the coffee. The only way to know for sure is to get tested. If you go to the same shop all the time, you might even have a problem with something the shop uses to make or store the coffee with.

Or, your stomach might just be sensitive to it. Sometimes your palate is just funny like that.

I knew a man with chronc stomach problems. Doctors could not solve it.
He decide to forgo coffee.
His symptoms left.

Yes, it could be coffee.

If you are allergic to coffee then you have an Allergies Type 1 is also called contact allergy. The immune system overreacts to the proteins found in the coffee.

Most food allergy reactions usually happen within a few minutes to a few hours after drinking coffee. Most mild to moderate reactions last less than a day and can involve a rash on the skin, cramps, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, runny nose, watery eyes, wheezing and coughing.

coffee is one of mans stupid obsessions.
it is like a hang over.
or hitting your self on the head over and over.
but it is not as bad as eating japaness blowfish.
it is just as good as smoking, every one else can smell it's toxic effects upon the user, except another user!

yes, you alergi cofee

yes it could be the coffee.different people are alergic to different things,so it wouldnt be strange to learn that you are in fact alergic.but count your blessings, coffee is not goo for your health!

of corse you can! but by the sounds of it your not. Possibly do a search on the ingredients of mocha's and frappachino and find the culprit.

Also you may have a touch of lactose intolerant, does it run in the family at all?

maybe something else in the coffee, check all the ingredients.
