I hurt in my rib area..?!
Question: I've just gotten over walking phnemonia a week ago... I had a bad cough and then... it went away... I started coughing again last night worse than I did even when sick... My ribs started hurting before I started coughing so badly... Today, the pain has grown through the day.. My coughing isn't as bad as it was at night... But the pain is now to the point I'm crying... It's in the area of my lower lung and upper liver... It hurts when I breathe and move... Coughing makes me wanna scream... My mother said it's just because of my coughing. But I coughed so much worse than this when actually sick. My body would ache, but not like this. And not in one single area... I don't know what it is... What's worse. I took a muscle relaxer to stop the paint, but it's not working...

sounds like you have a fractured rib, you could have coughed so aggresively that the muscles pulled on your bones and fractured them somewhere, or your mom could be right and you could have strained your rib muscles from constant coughing. you should take an antiinflamatory, like ibuprofin or aleve, those may work better for your pain. if problem presist you should go get an xray to make sure there are not other issues. hope this helps.
