Anyone feel a bit sad today?!

Question: I didn't even want to get out of bed today. I mean, it's really bad today. I don't mean to whine (I'm not one to whine) but today just seems like one of those really bad days, and it hasn't even ended yet! I do suffer from depression, but I've been doing really good lately...I've been off the meds for a year or so now, but I haven't felt this bad in a LONG time. I mean, it just feels like there's no one in the world who gives a darn about me anymore (anyone else feeling like this today?)...

I just got up and am already weepy. I do know that people give a damn about me, otherwise I wouldn't be here.

The thing is I don't have anything to look forward to.

I do care about others though, including you.

Here's hoping we both have a little bit of satisfaction from this day.

no, but i will say, get up, take a shower, have breakfast, and look for the good in the day. Let the sunshine warm your face. And know that there are a lot of folks who care. Make some friends, and spend time with them. Jesus loves you and so do I.

Not today, but believe me, I have been in exactly the same situation as you, badly depressed for about 2 years (and I ain't a whiner either!) Overcame it well, like youself, but it still hits now and again, although not as bad as it used to be as I've learned to control it (without meds also). I don't think your life is ever 100% the same again after you've experienced sever depression, but I think if you have the strength within you, you do learn not to let it consume you, and make the best of what you have, and even learn what happiness and excitement is again instead of the living in the dark soul-destroying world of depression.

I know exactly what you mean. In my case it is the time of the year, I guess it seasonal. March is always the worst month for me. Winter is nearly over ( I hate winter) but I guess the anticipation of spring makes March feel endless. You do sound depressed and since it sounds like you've been there before you know whatcha gotta do. Get back on your meds. even if it is just short term to get you over this rough patch. Waiting could make things worse. I also highly recommend therepy, that has always been the thing that has helped me the most. Most of all, people care about you. Depression makes us feel as though they don't , we become self absorbed in our feelings. But I bet there are many people who cherish you and care. Please take care of yourself and seek the help that you need. Remember spring is just around the corner and things will get better with time.

if you suffer from depression than take your pills and relax
