Because of your age, it's fairly normal to be that small. However, you might not have enough of a caloric intake to keep up with the calories you burn during volleyball and such. Make sure that you eat fresh fruit and veggies in addition to the ever important pasta and meat that you need for energy.

Also daily vitamins would be good for you so they replenish any nutrients you may be missing. Teen girls become susceptible to anemia, so you'll want to make sure your iron level is normal.

Have fun playing volleyball!!!!

your fine....................................... eat healthy and your fine. good luck!

you are too skinny. you need to be eating things like vegetables and fruits. it sounds like you are getting enough exercise, but are you getting enough sleep? simple health rules could help alot here.

no...because you are only 14

I think you are fine weight wise. Make sure you are taking a mult-vitamin(one-a-day vitamin) When I was in hs and playing sports my track coach always said take a vitamin. I am 5'6 nd when I graduated HS I only weighted 115. Eat Healthy and drink your fluids. If you are questioning your weight loss talk to your doctor.

your fine im 5'7 22 years old and i weigh 109 i have also had 2 kids so your just fine!

Just make sure your not starving yourself and try to eat at least 5 times a day because if your blood sugar drops from not eating it increases moodiness! also-breakfast-dont ever forget it!!!!!!!!! You'll be a supermodel-no biggie that your thin!!! love yourself-be proud you lost a littlte weight!!

People come in all different shapes and sizes, so knowing just your height and weight isn't enough to know what's right for you.

You're a teenager, so your body may be going through weird changes. This can make your height and weight change unexpectedly. And, as you say, your family tends to be skinny. So this may be perfectly normal.

On the other hand, if your friends say you've been losing a lot of weight but you're NOT having a growth spurt (are you getting taller? are your clothes fitting differently?) then something may be wrong, especially if you're feeling strange and sleepy. Eat some nice juicy fruits - something yummy so you don't feel like you're forcing yourself - and check in with your parents/family doctor to be sure everything's okay.

No. You are not too skinny. Your weight is within the healthy range. To check this on your own in the future, go to http://apps.nccd.cdc.gov/dnpabmi/Calcula... and input your most current information.

If you're lacking energy, try balancing your consumption more often than not. You should attempt to eat meals that are 60% carbohydrates, 10% protein and 30% fat (avoiding simple and/or bleached sugars and starches as well as saturated and trans fats). And be sure that your daily diet includes an abundance of fruits and vegetables. Also, the next time you see your doctor, tell him of your fatigue symptoms and request to have your iron levels tested. Low iron would certainly explain your symptoms and is common in young females.

I hope this helps.

You are only fourteen you are still growing you dont want to start eating then as you get older and get fat. As long as you are healthy that is all that counts. OH and are your friends fat

At 5'6 your ideal weight would be 130 lbs so you are perhaps a bit on the light side.

As you get older you will thicken out automatically.
