People use cannabis because it is a good way to relax. Its just a good feeling. Our way of life is generally good, people smoke it because it is a fun, social thing to do, much more so than drinking. How their lives are has nothing to do with it. Poor people use it, rich people use it, old people use it, and young people use it. There is no real demographic for those who use it because everyone is just as likely.

Certain fringe types of people(especially on the edge of the west coast and some eastern seaboards) will always use drugs as a crutch, instead of using faith or reason, because they feel it is the easiest path. It's highly self serving and twists logic to thinking its good for them and society as a whole, it never will be.
