Can I get eaten by a shark?!
Question: Okay so here's the situation. My family and I are leaving to go to either Atlantic City or somewhere around the gulf. I'm on birth control, and have noticed that the week of my inactive pills is the week we'll be on vacation.. now i know i can skip the inactive pills and switch to the active ones, but i don't wanna do that.. It messed my sister up when she did that..So I'm wanting to take surfing lessons wherever im going, so I was just wondering.. If I go out into the ocean, is there a chance i could be attracting some sharks or other dangerous animals?.. lol....(and no stupid answers, I'm serious about this...)

I wouldn't worry about it. Most sharks don't come anywhere near the surf.
Check the real statistics about shark attacks in that area. Has it ever happened there?

Calm you fears! Stay out of the water. It is that simple.
There is always a chance of anyone getting eaten by a shark, but to stay safe don't do such a senseless thing, if you weren't born to surf don't do it, it's an experience yea but to get eaten by a shark it wouldn't seem like a fun experience anymore, it just not worth it risking your life for something you'll enjoy for a day or two. Compare it to unsafe sex with strangers.
one... there ARE sharks in the gulf... two.....they ARE attracted to swimmers...three... you never know where they are...and four...they have a great sense of smell!!!
