If you like universal health care so much for the cheap health care...?!

Question: What do you think about the lost wages of Dr's, nurses, pharmacists, med aids, and other health care professionals.

even the ones like me who won't be making a ton of money anyway.

we like to heal patients, but with an explosive volume in patients anyway were looking at even more to triage and possible cut wages.

do you want qualitative tests done, or quantitative tests done. (medical heads the pun was very much intended lol)

Because people are retarded and think big government owning health care is a good thing. Be careful what you wish for. If they can't run the DMV, how can they run the Hospitals. Long Lines are awaiting.

politically i am independent. as far as health care goes the republicans are much more on. i don't agree with a lot of what huckabee stands for but he is right when he says there isn't a health care crisis, there is a health crisis. mccain is right on saying that it is important to try to fix the health issues before they become problems. preventative is cheaper the caring for the illnesses to come. its not cheap and its not going to be cheap. technology is expensive. medication is expensive (cost of developing it, testing it, getting it approved). the education it takes to become a Dr or RN isn't cheap. its never going to be cheap.

In the last ten years, pharmaceutical companies have made a 500 percent profit on drugs. Also, the cost of malpractice insurance has risen to all time highs. It is a noble profession but one that in this day and age comes with a price. Your only hope is an even more socialist medical system.......Sorry Dude.

Yeah, I was talking to my Dad about Hillary's plan, and it just sounds scary. You know, there have been cases where rich Canadians get sick and they come down here to get service because they would have to wait too long to get service back home because of their socialist health care system. Also, we studied some statistics in my probabilities and statistics class last semester. The stats compared the care to heart patients in America compared to the same service to Canadians, and well, many more Amercians were happy after they got better, than Canadians. I know, it's unfortunate that some people don't have health care, but I have to think about me and my family first.

I respectfully disagree. I don't have the answer, but I do think that in a country as wealthy as the US every single person should have access to affordable medical care. I think the whole system is broken. Even the people with insurance are getting screwed over. Doctors are no longer in charge of their patients care--insurance companies are.

I don't think that someone should have to go without treatment for something because they can't afford it. The thought of that really bothers me--how have we come to see poor people as such an undeserving underclass? It's not even just the very poor anymore that don't have health insurance. Isn't the figure something like 47 million?

Back when I had a job where I had insurance, I was diagnosed with a herniated disc in my neck. I opted against the operation for it, since I already have a spinal fusion. When I lost that job to outsourcing to China...In looking for another decent job, I can't pass a pre-employment physical because of it. Is it that I can't work or do the job? Absolutely not. They are weeding out the people who just might use that health insurance. That's crap. And, yes, I'm mad. What I'm getting at, is that the whole system needs an overhaul.

So, my question is...if there will be so many more patients (imagine if everyone could go to the doctor when they need to) won't there just be more jobs? I can understand that the wages will probably decrease. But isn't it the same with any health insurance? The insurance company sets the amount they'll pay and the doctor can either get in the network and agree to the pay or stay out of the network and lose patients? Of course, I only have a very limited understanding of this and I could be all wrong.

There are already people who go to the doctor for minute, silly things. Because they can. No one complains about that (or maybe they do).

I know I don't have the answer. I don't know if 'socialized' health care is the answer. But I honestly think that any change at this point would be an improvement. Sorry, I tend to babble on and on sometimes.

the medical profession is is a highly paid profession because it is very hard to handle for most people....universial health care is good in some ways and bad in another.....the pros are good for people who don't have insurance...but i highly doubt that this will ever happen...as a medical assistnat there are so many people i see daily in the e.r that do not have insurance but there is nothing that anyone can do...because you cannot deny anyone from medical care...and then the hospital gets screwed out of money...but if unviersial health care wasin affect then this would not be an issue but the pay for all medical professions would be much less, because the governement will pay them less than there own private practive would

(Good pun.) UHC is bogus for many reasons, but this Canadian doc who studies world health care has good info in his LONG article including this:
"...Another sign of transformation: Canadian doctors, long silent on the health-care system
