Good question.
My doc told me that B12 is the very last vitamin absorbed by the small intestine, just before excretion.

So, a pill has to be digested?

90% of B12 is destroyed in the digestive process, that's a huge waste of money in my book. I do suggest the B12 lozenges that you melt in your mouth, that way it is absorbed thru your mucous membranes lining your mouth, it's the way to go if you can't handle the shots.

well the difference is you can take the b12 pill three times a day compared to taking the b 12 shot twice a week. if money is tight i would suggest getting the pills compared to going to pay the office visit to the doctor which can be outrageous with price.
