Will I get the stomache flu from my mom?!

Question: My mom came to my house today for a couple of hours. She hugged the kids and touched a few of their toys in their room. She also changed the baby's diaper. Then she went home around 3pm saying she wasn't feeling good. She just called me on the phone at 7pm crying saying she was sorry she came to my house because she has vomiting and diahrrea at the same time. What are the odds of me and my kids getting it from her? I'm really worried because the last time I had this I got terrible nausea and my husband, myself and 3 of our children were all sick at the same time and it was extremely difficult to take care of the kids when we could barely function. What do you guys think?

Oh, I so hate to tell you this but it is very likely! One day my husband and I both came down with the stomach flu during the night. My son was only about eight months and we couldn't care for him because we were glued to the toilet all day. I managed to call my mom to pick him up. She only stepped into the house and took him to her house.

I felt terrible because the next day she was sicker than sick. My son didn't get it but she did and then my dad did too. For whatever reason, the stomach virus seems to be the most contagious with a very short incubation period.

I hope you and your kids don't get it though!!!
