Why would someone suddenly lose 20 lbs?!

Question: In the past two weeks I have done nothing different, or eaten any less. When I went to the dr for a check up today, I realized I had lost 20 lbs since my last visit (2 weeks ago). This isn't the first time either. My weight has also gone up just as quickly before, then suddenly plummets. My dr has no idea what to make of this. All my thyroid tests are fine. Any ideas??

Are you on drugs? (prescribed or otherwise) I've witnessed significant weight loss in people who have been placed on various medications. A friend of mine went from a size 10 to a size 3 rather quickly when a doctor put her on some sort of hormonal stabilizer. She didn't change her eating habits etc. either. We were all rather worried about her.

Have you been tested for diabetes, also??

after pregnancy when the child has been born,

your weight slowly decreases

Bad repetitive cases of constipation and then diarrhea? sorry, no help.

your doctor should be doing more tests on you, this is not normal.

-hormone imbalance
-smoking
-stress

it could b diabetes. in some cases u lose extreme amounts of weight in a short period of time

you r getting older and ur body will do things like that to you unexpectedly! its all part of the plan on growing up! ur body goes through many changes!
