If you are thinking of becoming a vegan you had better do some extensive homework first and a good start would be a web search for vegan + "health risks".

When I went vegan I did not crave other foods. For one thing, I've read many books on the subject of factory animals ending up on our dinner plates and all the diseases and germs, etc plus all the suffering these poor animals go through just so we can have meat or milk. Read as many books about being a vegan as you can including The Food Revolution by John Robbins. That'll make you not want to eat another egg or slice of cheese, or glass of milk ever again. When you switch from dairy milk to a substitute, soy milk is good, and so is almond milk. I haven't tried rice milk but as you can see there are many substitutes. Plus, they make soy products that taste just like meat. I was impressed with this frozen meal by "morning star products" called Ribletts, and boy was it yummy. You could not even tell it was made from soy and the barbecue sauce was yummy. Hope you join us Vegans soon. We need more people like you in this world!

My best friend has been vegan for seven years and she says that the only thing she ever misses actively is cheese, and that grows rarer and rarer with time.

She eyes non-vegan food with utter indifference, pretty much the way people view cat food. Sure, it's made with things we COULD eat, but why the heck would we!
