What are some safe, NATURAL ways to make myself sleepy?!


Question: I work third shift and for the past couple of weeks, I have not been able to make myself sleep during the day when my kids are napping. I do not want to take any kind of sleeping pill because I need to be able to wake up at a moment's notice if one of the kids wakes up. So does anyone have any suggestions for me?

Seriously, that's it, without something that is actually a drug.

take a bath, dont use any electronics before bed, exercise throughout the day (not before you go to be)

i agree milk is good. also u could try tirering ur self out during the day so that its easier for u to sleep. and try not to drink anything with a lota sugar. soda and coffee :) hope i helped

Hi, my husband worked shift work. He uses Melatonin, you can get it at any drug store or Walmart. It works great and is all natural. Don't use it every day, or your body can get used to it, only when you are on the night shifts.

He wakes up easily and goes back to sleep easily taking it. It doesn't give you a drowsy feeling either. He also uses it once in awhile if he drinks coffee in the afternoon because other wise he will be up half the night. Take care and good luck!
