Is it possible for someone to have a sixth sense of an earthquake happening?!

Question: i mean when an earthquake happens this person about 24 hours beforehand feels unwell, dizzy, nauseous. They put it down to just being off colour but next a quake is reported. Has happened very often , with yesterday being a prime example, and last nights tremor.

I suppose the build up of geological pressure preceding an earthquake can result in very low frequency sound waves being transmistted through the ground. Many studies on infrasound have shown that it can cause malainse and general feelings of discomfort (one theory to explain hauntings as well). Makes sense to me but I wouldn't call it a reliable indicator either.

of course its possible! animals have that sixth sense!

yeah,it might..probably some people's brain can detect those frequences and react to them

Not sure about people ,,,but birds and animals seem to have an early warning system...

animals do...i'm sure people have some type of internal warning to, although its probably more or less ignored.

I'm not sure about people but animal definitely do, so I guess people could too.

Animals know when there is going to be and earthquake, so it is possible for a person to know this also.

My sister always does (and did yesterday). She puts it down to low frequency vibration.

Sorry, no. Nothing happens 24 hours before an earthquake. Unless the person feels foreshocks, which are smaller earthquakes.

Earthquakes cannot be detected in a reliable way. Read the Wikipedia article on the subject (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earthquake_...

Feeling uneasy can happen very often and it may be surprising that it coincide with an earthquake but consider the number of times the person has felt sick and no earthquake happened in the following 24 hour and you'll conclude that it's just bull.

EDIT: It strikes me how most other answerers tried right away to explain how the person can predict earthquakes, when there is actually no evidence that the person can actually do that reliably, more than just by chance, that is.
