Smell - a nasal spray that removes mucus causing sinus pressure, like Afrin (personal favorite, works immediately). The experience of taste is related to smell and while your buds are still OK, you will need to unplug your nose to fully process the flavor of your meals.

bundle up in blankets and sweat it out

Sorry only time will fix that, i had a bad cold once and it took nearly 3months for smell and taste to return.

Vicks Vapor rub to clear sinuses. and Puffs brand has added Vicks to its tissue. I love them for that. Usually when you can breathe the the taste comes back.

Vicks vapour rub or a Vicks nasal inhaler !!!
They work wonders.

I put a teaspoon of it in near boiling water, in a bowl in my bedroom at night when i'm bunged up.

go to your local drug store and get a nellypot....it is a salt water solution that you wash your nose out with it might seem gross but it really work's and it will get rid of your cold faster by getting the germs out of your nose

You probably have a cold. When you have a cold you cant smell anything or taste anything. Just drink plenty of water daily not too much but enought to flush out the mucus and stuff well hope you get better =)

Steam inhalation.

I'm just getting over a cold myself. I recommend a good blanket, a good book, some honey and lemon and a vicks sniffer!

I agree with the first answer, bundle up and sweat it out.

Heat is the enemy of this kind of sickness.

I remember this guy who worked in a to-scale-model factory and he had been near a bomb somewhere and he had lost his forever. He said everything was texture. So I suggest in the meantime to go-with-the-flow and try things just for their texture for a while. Maybe even look up the anti landmines sites, full of empathy and compassion.

combination of Zican and Mucinex will cure any cold, no lie and you can pick them up at Rite-Aid or something, they are non-prescription
