This may come as a shock (no pun intended). Voltage does not kill...current does. It only takes 100 milliamps to kill someone. If you are getting shocked at work, it is probably only static electricity. While it is painful at times, it isn't lethal because the current is so low. My brother once grabbed an electric fence and held on for a couple of minutes. He came away with a huge blister on his palm but, is still alive today (this was about 40 years ago). I once had a pair of sneakers that caused me to get shocked everywhere I went when I wore them. I still can't figure out why but, I ditched the shoes anyway.

i dont think it can kill u, as the voltage in those shocks is very low. but its uncomfortable, so wear different shoes and natural fibres clothes to reduce it happening.

static shock no doubt...harmful, no...1000 times a day...don't think so

Do you use fabric softner when you wash your clothing? This may be the cause.

I doubt it, but there are a couple of things you can do to reduce these shocks. First, try either getting different shoes or getting some gel style insoles. These can help prevent you from developing a static charge, thus preventing the shocks. If that doesn't work, chage to a synthetic fiber for your socks. Same reason. If neither work, make sure your shoes are the correct size. If they are a size too big, your feet slide back and forth in them as you walk, generating a charge.

Hope this helps.

it wont kill you, but I do have an honest question, have you ever been struck by lightening. I knew someone once who had been struck by lightening, who is almost like a magnet for shocks, she even turns on and off her radio just by walking past it, and gets shocked all the time. If a person can live through a lightening bolt, they can survive getting little lightening bolts. A bolt of lightening is millions of those little shocks all at once.

No it can't kill you. It's just very irritating. I hate getting shocked. Try to stay moisturized that might help and keep your clothes static free.
