this is rly wiered n i dnt knwo why this happens

Everyone does :) I s'pose your neurons just send out random signals to different parts periodically. Nothing to be worried about, and unless it's chronic or something like a siezure I wouldnt be worried about some condition.

Hmm I am not completely sure on why this occurs. But yes, I get twitches. Mainly in my mouth, for like a minute or two. I look in the mirror and I can actually see it moving. Pretty cool actually.

I think nearly everyone does at some time or another. The phenomenon is usually transient.

However there are cases where it is prolonged, even permanent until some treatment eliminates it.

I think botox can be injected into the responsible nerve. But you must see a good neurologist in a very spiffy place because there have been some rather bad batches of botox lately. Great caution indicated.

Usually it's just a local muscle such as a facial twitch on one side.

If the whole body is twitching, I would call that convulsion, a problem of a different sort and increased magnitude, much more serious generally. Convulsions can be mild through severe.

Both conditions involve nerves.

Epilepsy causes convulsions.

Twitching is transient, usually not a chronic problem. I would guess the nerve involved is irritated in some way.

I am 64, have experienced twitches about 5 times in life, more or less. Went away w/o any special treatment, brief duration.

I think some people are characterized by a peculiar twitch when they are irritated, angry, or excited. May not be just facial, this type.

This is all just from experience, I am not a neurologist. But that is the correct person to see for a problem twitch.

Also for epilepsy.

For convulsions in general: This is a SERIOUS condition of grave import. Must get such a person to the nearest doctor quickly. Many possible causes.

Some of the causes, if untreated by competent doctor, will result in death.
